We believe the best way to healthy food is with healthy and happy animals. At The Farm, our pigs are grazed on pasture and wooded areas. We purchase our piglets from locally certified farms, feed them fresh veggies from our gardens, and they love anything they may find while rooting in their paddocks, like acorns, blueberries and fallen apples from our trees. They are supplemented daily with locally produced organic grains to meet their full nutritional requirements.
We provide pork in both half and whole pig shares.
2024 PRICES
The price per pound is $6.55/lb. hanging weight for half shares, $5.90/lb. hanging weight for whole shares (approximately 200 lbs. for a whole).
Raising the animals on our farm and processing in vacuum-sealed packaging is included in this price. Smoked portions will have an additional service charge of $2.50 per pound as weighed after packaging. Any items that are smoked, such as bacon and hams, will be available approximately 3-4 weeks after the fresh pork. The purchase of your share also includes customizable cuts.
But how many cuts do I get? Here is an approximate based on the pigs ending at 200 pounds and usable meat around 140-160 pounds finished.
